HOW TO DRAW A REALISTIC EYE STEP BY STEP, WATERCOLOR–
Hi friends, today I am going to show how to draw a realistic eye. I see many people drawing a face but they don’t concentrate in detailing of the eye. So this is the purpose of this drawing. I want to show you how you can give more details in eyes in your drawing. It will make your drawing more realistic. Follow my drawing tips to develop your drawing skill.
Drawing Tool: Here I used Curtis paper, four colors such as Prussian blue, burnt sienna, carmine red, yellow ochre. Four brushes of ‘0’,’2’,’6’,’12’.
STEP 1: First start from making a outline of a eye as I showed in the video. You can use a glass or something like that by which you can draw a perfect eye ball. Also make sure that u have to give some detailing in eye ball. You should take care of these little things to make it realistic.
STEP 2:First I used yellow ocher lightly for outside area of the eye. Don’t go too deep at the beginning. Then use the red color in the side of the eye and mix a little bit of white color to make it lighter because you can’t only keep the red color, it will destroy the beauty of the painting. Then I mixed brown and yellow ochre for the surrounding area of the eyebrow.
STEP 3: Then lightly mix the red and brown color for the eyebrows but now in a little deep way. Then I used extremely light red for the surrounding area of eyelid. Then give the little deep red in the outline of the inner eye.
STEP 4: Then the most important part of this painting is the eye ball area. First use water drop in the eyeball to make base of a glassy eye. Then use blue in the side of the eyeball as I did in the video. You can use any other color as you want the color of your eyeball. Make sure of detailing in the blue shading because it will give a 3D effect in the eyeball. Then use a mixture of light green and yellow to make the inner portion of the eyeball in detailing. Then mix the burnt sienna (brown) and blue to bring a black effect on blue base in the pupil because I colored blue in the eye ball and little more detailing as I did in the video.
STEP 5: Lets come the deep part of the coloring. Now use red and light pink in a mixing way in caruncle and the outline of the eye in deep for the reddish effect. For a 3D and a watery effect, use very light blue in the side of the white area to make it realistic. And give the shedding in the white area as I did in the video.
Now come to a very interesting and difficult part, the vein of the eye. Use red to draw the veins but with very less water and with No.0 brush. Make sure that the brush should be in good condition because by any chance if there would be any problem with the brush it will ruin your painting.
STEP 6: Then comes the eyelashes. First sketch the eyelashes with a simple pencil. Then use a black marker for the eyelashes use also white pencil for the glaze of the eyelashes.
